Hair Restoration in Nashville, TN
Hair replacement surgery has regained its popularity thanks to significant advances with improved results during recent years. Two in three men and one in five women will be affected by hair loss during their lifetime. Located in Brentwood, New Life Physicians, led by regenerative and restorative medicine specialist Dr. Morgan Moor, offers hair restoration for men and women who live in and around Nashville, Franklin and the surrounding communities of Tennessee via Platelet Rich Plasma and A Cell.
What Is Restorative Hair Growth?
The New Life Hair Regrowth Procedure is for individuals who seek a non-surgical regrowth strategy that is safe and effective. This state-of-the-art procedure combines ACell and PRP to encourage hair growth when injected directly into the scalp. ACell’s MatriStem® (ACell) is a medical device that is FDA approved for use in plastic and reconstructive surgery. ACell is a biomatrix that structurally repairs and remodels damaged tissue. For this particular procedure, ACell is being used “off-label.”
During the procedure, a combination of ACell with PRP (platelet rich plasma) is injected into the scalp, which causes hair follicles to grow, become healthier, larger and resulting in increased hair growth. ACell activates follicular progenitor cells (adult stem cells) while PRP delivers growth factors that promote rapid angiogenesis and localized cell growth.
Appropriate for addressing hair loss in both men and women, ACell + PRP has also demonstrated successful results in treating alopecia areata, male and female pattern baldness, eyebrow hypotrichosis and other cases of patients with hair loss caused by non-genetic factors.
How Does Restorative Hair Growth Work?
The restorative hair regrowth treatment takes about 90 minutes to administer. A blood sample is obtained from which to produce the PRP. A local anesthetic is used to numb the treatment area and ensure your comfort throughout the procedure. The ACell and PRP are delivered through a series of injections using a fine-gauge needle. The treatment may be administered over the full scalp or in localized treatment areas, such as bald patches, eyebrows or beard.
Then the PRP is placed on the scalp topically and microneedled into the scalp at the depth of 2mm.
At New Life Physicians, we have found that the more the scalp is stimulated, the better and quicker results are seen in our patients. We recommend getting the scalp microneedled every two weeks alternating PRP and Human Growth Factors.
Recovery is relatively simple, and any discomfort may be easily managed with analgesic medication. Some minor swelling of the forehead may appear one to two days after treatment. This is normal and will subside within 48 hours. We recommend that you avoid strenuous activity until all swelling has subsided. You will be free to shampoo your hair normally 24 hours after treatment.
New hair growth will become visible within about two months, but becomes increasingly evident after four to eight months, continuing to improve for up to one year after treatment. To date, many patients have successfully maintained results without requiring additional treatments for up to two years, but because the treatment is still relatively new, long-term data is not yet available to conclude that ACell-PRP induced hair growth provides permanent results.
For even better and quicker results, we do recommend the Theradome Laser Helmet as an additional way to stimulate the hair follicles on the scalp. This can be purchased online or can be purchased at New Life Physicians.

Hair Replacement Consultation and Costs
While almost any healthy adult may be a good candidate for hair replacement, this treatment is not suitable for everyone. To determine whether hair replacement is suitable for you, schedule a personal consultation with Dr. Moor. If after an initial evaluation, Dr. Moor recommends hair replacement to address your hair loss, she will then determine the number of treatments recommended. You can also discuss costs and payment options at this time. Typically, the more sessions of microneedling needed, the higher the cost. We offer flexible financing methods and accept cash and major credit cards.
